How does the Plason Pen work?
Plason pen is a handheld plasma device that uses a cooler atmospheric temperature so does not create surface trauma like traditional fibroblast plasma. This extremely powerful device penetrates 13,000 volts of plasma through the epidermis, into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin stimulating high levels of collagen and remodeling the cellular structure from the inside out. When Jet plasma is mixed with oxide oxygen, ozone plasma is created which kills surface bacteria and is anti-inflammatory to aid in calming keratosis, eczema, and rosacea. Plasma is used to tighten the skin, diminish wrinkles, diminish hyperpigmentation, treat acne, scarring, stretch marks and aids in product absorption that otherwise couldn’t penetrate as deep without needle injection.
Plasma is easily influenced by electromagnetic fields in a way that neutral gasses are not. Plasma uses helium gas passed across an energized electrode. This creates a focused stream of low-current cold plasma, which can be used to tighten skin. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is well-documented within the medical community for its power to destroy bacterial cells.
Using plasma technology, electrical energy is created between the tip of the handheld pen and the treatment area, turning the excessive tissue from solid to gas. This means it essentially ‘reduces’ the targeted skin without causing any damage to the surrounding tissue. The tissue retraction and tightening give instant results you can see and continue to see improvements over the next 8 weeks. It stimulates a natural healing process and the production of fresh collagen to improve the quality of your skin.

How long does it last?
Like all cosmetic procedures, the effects of plasma treatment are not entirely permanent, as it does not stop any further ageing from occurring. Treatments are recommended in a series of 3 to 8 treatments.
The positive effects of the treatment will be immediately noticeable after the first treatment and best results will be seen after 4 weeks with continuous improvement up to 8 weeks. For some, an additional treatment may be required for maximum results.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments required will vary according to the condition being treated, skin’s laxity, the desired degree of correction and the individual’s response to the treatment. Most clients can see results instantly and this continues to improve over the course of the following 8 weeks. Further treatments can be done for individuals seeking better results. Appointments for a second treatment on the same area must be spaced 1 week apart of the best results. After a series of 3 we recommend appointments based on need.
Can anyone get plasma skin tightening?
Anyone can receive the Plasma Pen, there is no contraindications with age or fitzpatrick type. As with a majority of cosmetic procedures, Plasma Pen should not be used on women who are pregnant or breast feeding.
